It was mid-1999 and the newly formed band began the work that culminated in the first record. One day we faced Baden Powell right out of the studio. It was a huge surprise for everyone. The room was filled with respect and then one of us tried: "So, master, did you like what you've heard?"

His answer defines what is the sound of the band: "The path of instrumental music is precisely this fusion of rhythms that you promote."

A little bit of samba, ballad, maracatu, funk, salsa, and all through the language of jazz? Contagious is the sound of this young quintet. Here's Jazzafinado!
